About Us
In February 1992 the Rotary Club of Dromana invited people from the waiting lists of local Probus Clubs to an interest meeting, with the view to forming a new Club.
This interest meeting was held on the 17th April in the Dromana Community Hall and was attended by 80 prospective members.
Another organisational meeting followed on the 28th of April in preparation for the formation of the Mount Martha Valley Probus Club.
The inaugural Club meeting was held on the 16th of May in the Dromana Community Hall where we still meet today.
The first President was Phil Wright who is still an active Life Member of the Club.
Our membership grew to 100 by November 1992 reaching a membership of around 140 by 2020.
COVID interrupted our normal activities and membership numbers.
Currently we have a membership of about 110. (March 2025)
Our continued success is based on:
• an active, friendly and caring membership,
• strong growth by recruiting new, younger members
• a wide variety of functions and interest groups
• and a warm welcome to guests and visitors to our monthly meetings.
